Welcome to my clinic. My journey to becoming a physician has been, perhaps, a little unconventional. It began not in a science laboratory, but at the prestigious Faculty of Commerce at Keio University. While this foundation in strategic thinking was valuable, a profound personal experience with illness instilled in me a deep-seated desire to help others on a more personal level, leading me to change my path and pursue a medical degree from the Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University (now the University of Toyama).

After my initial training at Yao Tokushukai General Hospital in Osaka, I sought to broaden my expertise on an international stage, earning a Master of Science (MSc) in Surgery from the world-renowned University College London (UCL). It was a passion for advanced, minimally invasive techniques that then brought me to Hokkaido, where I honed my skills in catheter-based treatments for cerebrovascular disease.

Driven by a commitment to bringing the highest standard of diagnostic technology to this community, I established my own independent practice. Initially utilising a permanent magnet MRI, I upgraded our clinic's capabilities in 2016 with a 1.5T superconducting MRI system, to ensure my patients always have access to the most advanced imaging available.

A Perspective Forged by Experience

A cherished memory that brings back the warmth of family and the joy of a simple celebration.

In October 2024, my journey as a physician took a profoundly personal turn when I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a serious neurological condition. This diagnosis led to my hospitalisation until July 2025. While this experience has not defined me, it has significantly shaped my approach to medicine.

As a patient, I gained a deep, firsthand understanding and empathy for the concerns, anxieties, and hopes that every patient carries with them. Now, as I continue my practice with the assistance of an electric wheelchair, I view my patients from two perspectives: as a physician with extensive expertise and as a fellow human who truly understands the vital importance of good health.

This unique, empathetic viewpoint fuels my clinic's mission: to provide proactive, preventative care that empowers individuals to safeguard their future health.
